The bug appeared only on the beta6, and never happened on the previous version. Thought it is a big wkp (8mb) it was not lagging on the 4.01e. So it is not caused by a too slow computer speed. I did not change the config between the two versions. Hope it can help.

Even after restarting usine, the graphics was ...... very lag (some seconds between each updates), like if the graphic card was waiting for the sound engine.
I changed back the 'best block size' to 128 and returned to a normal state.
PS : my case is different from your's has i was already at 85% of memory usage and with some audio glitchs.
Hope it help

did you try to deactivate the 'virtual memory'?
I'll try but it appears even if my RAM is at 25%. Virtual Memory is engaged only if RAm is full isn't it? Another question, under vista, it's possible to set the priority of the CPU for "software" or for "task" ( tache de fond). What the best to choice for usine?

What I can say is that it happens when patching. I did not noticed this pb when playing, maybe it happens, but since I dont always look at my screen at that moment, I cannot be sure. 30 seconds would be a big gap!

Audio engine still running without problem in this case. But I can't click on usine panels because windows "hourglass(?) egg timer ( ? ) icon appears. When it freeze, CPU amount is big , so I've take a look into the process managment, but it seems that no tasks are running when this happens. My notebook is dual core 2.0Ghz and I have check "dualcore optimisation" in the setup panel. I'm running usine under asio4all under vista. I've no check if usine don't answer to midi control when it happens. I'll do it to see if it respond or not ( if it do, this not really a problem in live situation).
Anyone have this trouble? any tip?
Thanks.
