Honestly, I don't understand what prevent this very basic function to be available in Usine...
I don't know myself!:)
it's historically limitation, due to the structure of the patch design area (which is the oldest part of Usine). It make modifications not so easy.
I'll find something soon!

Gurulogic: agreed, it would be really nice to lasso multiple elements & cables with the mouse rather than having to shift-click.
"nice" is a minimum...
I am asking and waiting for this since Usine v1 I suppose.
My suggestion : add an option to use the left drag as actually (move the patch content window) and a modifier key to lasso select elements, OR the contrary, for people like me who will do a lot element selections and very few patch content window move.
Honestly, I don't understand what prevent this very basic function to be available in Usine...
Thanks Olivier for the future update ;)

It would be nice to select a bunch of objects, and "create sub-patch" with them, where all the cabling is preserved and appropriate input and output objects in the subpatch are automatically created and cabled..... right now, this process requires a lot of note-taking and hand cabling.

Similarly, the reverse "unpack subpatch" could be useful, although there are likely to be enough layout problems with overlapping objects that this may not often be as useful.

Anyway, it would really speed up refactoring.

cheers!
