Try running it using Zen as a sub-host. I recall that worked for me in V5. Zen just had an upgrade to 64-bit. Let me know if it works for you. Zen was a bit unstable for me under v5, so I stopped using it. Although I'm not sure that synth1 ever crashed it.

after trying to save a preset with 3 synth1's on separate midi channels through a harmonizer hollyhock croaked
error : pgPreset SaveData Out of memory
error : Internal : pgpreset Savedata.

behavior seems to get sluggish...
then i close and try to reopen and i get

error : InitLoadData out of Memory
internal :initLoadData

now the workspace wont even open and has become corrupted. This has been happening when i try to save presets with a couple of instances of synth 1.

Is it because of what woodslanding is saying? because it maintains 1200 presets per instance and that hollyhock gets overloaded hence the error message?

Perhaps i should only use synth 1 mono and not try to coax 4 instances of it out at a time.

a shame cause this kinda worked in Usine 5 although it probably was causing some grief... long load times.

thanks for illuminating things woodslanding.

i like synth1 cause its light on the cpu...

new error message i dont understand but is similar to the one i posted above.

error : pgPreset SaveData Out of memory
error : Internal : pgpreset Savedata.

is this still a problem with synth 1? or something else.

Sorry to see v6 is not cooperating better. You can turn off 'select presets from host' or some such in preferences, and then it may work better, but you won't get your preset list commatext from the vst object. And I think you can only access 128 presets, just via midi.....
