All I'm doing is changing the 'pitch' slider in a GROOVE bass module (whose MIDI output is going out to a VSTi).

the Preset Manager should cover this ..that's more or less a complete snapshot of your current patch..you can exclude certain elements (go to the settings panel by right clicking on the module, under save options -> untick "saved in preset") you don't want to capture..it's really quite simple..set up your patch, drag in a preset manager and that's it..

has anyone an idea where or how to start with this.

i have barely an imagination of how something like this can work.
