Also keeps us from double-submitting, could allows us to tie our bug submissions for reference, and allow the community to also possibly provide more details in reference, or maybe find a solution whether it be temporary or finalized.
Overall I see this as a simpler approach for at least the community side of things.

Speaking of tying reports, and uploading. I always thought it lent to the forum as well as the uploader is not on the bug report for patches but on the forum page itself. :)

As a suggestion, possibly a thread at the top could have a lock post - report as bug which would lead the creator of the post to the bug report linking the forum thread for more details. There the standard reporting could begin and would also give you guys more information regarding the user's application, an indication if others experience the same issue, or the some clue details to help isolate.

about possible bugs, it's not a good idea cause to have a good feedback, we often need to exchange files with users and current report page is better for that and more easy for us to manage.

but we are, of course, listening all suggestions ;)

Are there any plans to rework the forum in the future?

The important part is shortening the curve from the please-help to the "wow it never did this but I just made it do this" point

Maybe as a beginner approach you might be looking at wiki pages that I might overlook now (and those pages probably need some work too to help shorten the curve)...you never know

But of course, I'll be happy to contribute when I'll be able to.

But of course probably a lot of programmation work, and moderation too...
In the future who knows ?
