That way you could set it on the loop, do a take, then if you want to change anything, you could erase mistakes with a button (which could be mapped) and hit different chords or notes in certain parts of the loop. With this, you wouldn't even need to open piano roll as often and also it would be a powerful tool for live performance, to fill the midi loops live and reshape them as you go by playing on top, without colliding with notes of initial loop (which happens in overdub mode).

_: on main window of notes a "slice centered zoom" ie when using mouse wheel, the zoom would be centered to where mouse cursor actually is, (current is always from start)
_on the left notes bar, a same slice zoom, & if clicking on a note, then moving mouse delta X would zoom in/out
_ inverse on the time selector range, if clicking then moving mouse delta Y would zoom in/out, centered on mouse position

then ability to make retangular selector for selecting several notes, shift them left/right/up/down via keybaord keys

If anyone agrees, please list specific features you need to add. I'd say everything Ableton Live 9 had should be there (except converting audio to midi).
