I appreciate your sharing x.iso. Hope you realize that I'm just playing with the demo version.
sure thing, the demo isn't going to expire or disable features, there's just a reminder window poping up from time to time so you can dive in as much as you want to see if it's the right tool for you.

it got visual feedback on keys, integrated arpeggiator with customizabe sequencer and visual preset manager and also bunch of settings as you can see. works quite well, but can't roll between keys with same touch point (which can be seen as nice safeguard feature, but more of a hindrance for performance really) and it heavily burdens the CPU for now. I still haven't come up with ideas how to solve and optimize that, other than create a user module with SDK, but I'm no coder to make that happen.

To record MIDI, yes, the pianoroll is the tool you need, you can find a ready to use patch in the library/MIDI/ , then you can sequence this patch in the grid like other elements in Usine.
ps: this kind of questions are generally more in the patching forum

1) I see the patch midi big keyboard, I can't find a more traditional virtual keyboard though. Is there one?
2) I viewed the tutorial : record audio. Is there a record midi? I made a patch that uses three plugins: Audio Vitamins Stocha,a step sequence, which outputs midi to two synth plugins. The next step would be to output the two synths to separate midi files.Would you use the grid and the midi pianoroll?
