https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ID ... UTF8&psc=1

also this NEC tv because it has RS232 input in the flavor of a DB9 connector:

https://www.amazon.com/NEC-E505-Display ... B00T2UAJA0

I'm plugging in the wire straight from laptop into the NEC tv (also using a sex changer because reasons) and am trying to send the hex code to make it turn on: 01 30 41 30 41 30 43 02 43 32 30 33 44 36 30 30 30 31 03 73 0D

I match the settings from the system info to the Usine serial module which is COM3 and 9600 baudrate, etc. I hit the connect button and on/off button but nothing seems to happen. The TV is off but powered on when I try to send the signal. I tried also sending the off command when it is on with same (no) results. Am I missing something? Is this even possible?

Thanks in advance!
