My friend is coding live beats and percussive sounds in Sonic Pi and Tidal Cycles. A 3rd computer is generating some musical 'answers' to my MIDI phrases in realtime with a machine learning engine (Magenta/Tensorflow) and finally an online Raspberry Pi is running a pseudo intelligent text-to-speech generator based on a Twitter live feed. It was a lot of fun and Usine proved rock solid! It's a 30 minute improvised live set in a jazz meets IDM esthetic, followed by a panel discussion on artificial intelligence in live music. Made in collaboration with BOZAR Brussels and Ars Electronica Festival Linz. Enjoy (hopefully ).
