Hello Sylvain, I have tried the automatic save feature but when the file is saved loop playback is disrupted. So as it is it can't be used in live looping.
that's something that could be alleviated with the implementation of separate recorder and players.

Also, it would be possible to make advantage of the circular recorder

FUN !

the best way to do what you want is to have 2 samplers:
- one sampler for recording and save the sample
- another to play the recorded sample saved on the disk

Not sure that Usine will load several time in memory the same sample used in different players.
Senso could confirm.

Hello,

You can with Usine samplers generate automatic saves with random names, so with these names assign new samplers instantly.
It is very usefull. I use it often. Just needs to think to empty your "buffer" folder time to time.
Hope it helps.

Sylvain
True, I do that already, but my idea is to use only one buffer to multiple sample-players without adding memory use. Or switch seamlessly from one type of player to another.

Cheers

Perhaps this could be implemented by multiple sampler modules sharing the same list of files, with the added feature of pushing the current recording into this list without saving it to disk (so that the loop keeps playing without interruption)?

the sample rec module will allow to record sound into a buffer with a specified name.

the sample play modules will allow to play the buffer (called by name) like a plain sampler, a grain sampler or a cloud sampler.

what will be the use of that ?

the same buffer could be played in multiple instances for polyphony
the same buffer could be played with various methods simultanously
the record module could be on one patch (always ON") and diferent patches with different sampler players could be swithed on and off with the grid

cheers
