Things that would interest me (can't speak for anyone else) would be: -live MIDI midi looper/recorder/manipulator .. with direct manipulation features something along the lines of Temper -live midi performance tools (ala Karma, Zyklus, etc.) -live sequencers (analog/algorithmic.. Notron, Octopus, et...

Hello, I'm a new Usine user, and I would like to setup Usine to sync with my friend's Ableton Live 5, in an accurate & stable manner so we can eventually do tempo changes etc. For now we just want it locked & not drifting. Just want to setup a simple workspace that syncs for now. I don't mind slavin...

I didn't realize it could already be used on USB drive! Excellent. I'd have to agree, it makes more sense to focus on a stable/fully featured win version, until you can find someone to help port to other OS's. Usine is amazing .. I think it's the app I've been looking for all this time. Going to get...

Maybe this may help.. There are a few very cool MP3 playing VST plugins you could use: xtal mp3play Or a more complex solution may be: ..there are a number of VST plugins that can route audio from one VST plugin to another.. Winamp has a VST plugin addon here . Might be possible to use that with a V...

There's a program that you can choose to install with the trial version of Reaper , called ReaRoute which can route audio between ASIO apps, but it may only works between App1 & Reaper. Slight chance you can route audio from App1 to App2 (where App1 & App2 are not Reaper), but I have a feeling it wo...

jorgen is developing xt2 for win & linux, and there are some savvy linux users & lots of reading over at the xt2 forum . xt2 is a commercial software for linux, so it need not be open source, so you can look at what he has done, and maybe see where you could improve.. he broke new ground over the la...

I haven't tried it yet, but this comes recommended from some audio users as a free alternative to XP lite .. nLite (many prefer nLite over XP lite). XP lite removes Window components after the fact, nLite removes & creates a custom XP installation with all updates you like, before you install window...

Well, you probably won't use these (as they are not free), but for all those interested in beat manipulation VSTs, here are some I recommend: LiveSlice <great live beat slicer/manipulator> ERA <very powerful live MIDI step sequencer> GURU <software MPC - samples/slicing/groove/step sequencer, pricey...
