as long as you have audio interface with DC coupling, you can send out CV/Gate as audio out on different channels.
With controllers like BeatStep perhaps it's possible to feed it midi from Usine and then controller would convert it to CV/Gate?

Each sample is mapped to a note, so what you actually need is to intercept note messages and recreate them with random note.
here's example workspace http://www.sensomusic.org/forums/upload ... xample.wkp
EDIT: sorry, forgot to set MIDI Filter ON to actual Note ON messages 😠so set the filter to Note ON there.
you could also replace Random Note On generator with MIDI step sequence array and create you own pattern that will go off one step per note input. In this example I've made some extra patching to generate Note OFF messages in time with input midi, otherwise there's no note off or you can just put MIDI transformer and set the fixed note lenght

Well, if desired effect is supposed to be isolated for exact note while for instance a chord is played, or in any case other notes are involved at the same time, then it becomes quite a complicated problem. especially for real-time processing. I can't come up with solution for that beside what I men...

The only realistic way of doing it, is to sample the instrument and go with midi trigger for effects. Other way I'm thinking of, is also sampling your instrument, but for a purpose of isolating said notes. But I can't quite understand how to use samples as filters (perhaps using phase cancellation o...

As for delays with patch preset recalling, one way of avoiding such problem is making sure to disable preset saving for any module that supports it and doesn't need it for your purposes (or because it will get changed anyway by other modules values being recalled). By default all modules have that o...

You totally can play with subdivisions and there are various way to achieve that. In Local synchro module you can find 'bar list' parameter, where you can write any sequence of subdivisions (and it's even possible to assign unique BPM for each, look up the manual), and you could make a patch so that...

Lol, I just thought about making something similar, but rather a step sequencer where steps could move out of grid lock and be modulated by various inputs, like LFO's or particle movements, to make a mutating swing effect or complex drunk beat. And maybe I need to use piano roll module for that. So,...

Depends on what's your goal. There's Array Clip module, that would push any 0 values to minimum value and same for maximum: http://www.sensomusic.org/manual/en/modules/array/array-clip But if you're getting one value at a time from Array queue, then it get's tricky, because even if you wire it to St...

I must say, that I still tend to use touch where it works even when building patches and workspace, so here's few tips: - to drop something properly from browser, you need to drag selection straight to the right (not too fast) and then you should see a label under your finger, that means you grabbed...

in Usine touch is more oriented for performance and using interface that you build in it. when you prepare your workspace, you better use keyboard and mouse for patching and precise UI building. also, it's best to have all your samples preloaded in banks that you can switch during performance with a...

check the addons and tell me if it's what you're looking for. I've checked and the only difference with equal module is that you can get amount of matches in one go. might be useful as well, just didn't think of use case yet. for instance, if just 1 match it's a regular step trigger, if 2 matches, ...

One solution was mentioned here: http://www.sensomusic.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=6127
there's no scrollbars built in, but you can add faders and use them as scrollbars instead. the trick is with adjusting x/y of the sub-patch with controls that's located in the container. that should work.

It was addressed in different forum, that essentially VST's inputs only accept 0-1 value range (however, I've observed 0-10 in some rare cases), but they should contain information about their actual value range, which is represented in some DAW's without using GUI of the plugin. One of the ways to ...
