Um, neither. I'm trying to make something which will *not* allow a new note to retrigger just because the audio note has changes, and instead send out one-octave pitchbend information that tracks the audio's pitch *until I hit a key to say it's ok to retrigger* so that controlling VST synths when I ...

I have tried, but failed, to create a workspace in which the audio-to-midi will only retrigger a new pitch when you kit a midi controller key or midi button or somesuch, and otherwise will send pitch variation to the pitchbend channel so that the notes don't skitter around all over in semitone steps...

I just used the freeware application Cam Studio to do this in FLStudio, but didn't figure out how to include the audio yet. Then I used MS MovieMaker which just comes with WinXP to edit it (ameteurishly).
I can recommend Cam Studio if anyone is looking to make a video.

I personally would view the audio/midi/data routing modularity and the conductor snapshots as the most important things for a VST version The reason is that I envision COMPOSING music in another DAW and then using the VST of Usine to set up my live set using the sounds and scores in the first DAW. B...

What does anyone think the most effective way to capture midi notes from audio-to-midi along with midi CC automation played live (in my casse via p5 glove) and send it off to another program would be? I've yet to find a way to efficiently capture a performance this way in order to "score" my USB-mic...

There's a Tempo Detector module in the add-ons section as well as, if you need it, a module that sends a track-specific tempo to just one track regardless of what the master tempo is. To download the add-ons you need to be a Gold Member, but I can assure you it's well-worth it. As to tutorials - the...

small update 3.501 Fixed bugs: - Some problems with pluggo plugins - the load/save bank & preset menu now appears in the vst window Thanks a lot, Olivier :-) I have trouble understanding how you so quickly figured out what makes pluggo vsts not work - FL has had a less-bad pluggo bug for years. You...

Has anyone been able to use Pluggo-created VSTs in Usine? I don't know how I never noticed this before (maybe it used to work and broke?) but I use Pluggo-created VSTs all the time in FLStudio but last night couldn't get one's GUI to respond in any way inside Usine, so I tried a few more and they wo...

Well, you couldn't have made it easier for yourself (or anyone, for that matter): normally the fcb1010 is quite tough to use as a "simple" control surface because it's meant to control the v-amp or suchlike, and therefore every button/switch/pedal sends multiple signals together, which are interpre...

No, sorry, I'm no guitar player. I only like playing nylon string flamenco ones. I can, however, recommend you poke around on Fretted Synth's site, as I use his pitch-detecting guitar-to-synth plug-ins and I bet there's some intelligent information there. I'm sure you know the site - version 3 of hi...

Well, having started out on a PIII 1 Ghz I know all too well how to reduce the usage of the CPU :) I just don't have my virtual instrument players wailing on midi controllers when I'm composing so it's hard to guage how much processor power I'll need - I can only press so many midi controllers at on...

Hello. I have another question I can't state in enough detail, but here it is: I am designing live performance set-ups. I am wondering if anyone who has used Usine more than me can give me an estimate on how much I can get away with live given that I've got a 3.0 Ghz Core Duo intel processor. You se...

Figure out what range of frequencies your audio input will be inputing. The human voice is about 300 Hz to 3000 Hz, actualy sung tone being on the lower end and fricatives and plosives on the other end. For voice, the overtone harmonics and plosives/fricatives are useless so band pass to eliminate l...
