the autohotkey workaround I mentioned above I think is the most convenient workaround once you get autohotkey going.

I also have this problem. Win 10 x64 It seems that the plugin is forced to be on top of everything always. I tried switching to the dialogue but still cannot access it. Sometimes the computer keyboard can send keys to the dialogue to close it or select an option, including ESC to abort the dialogue....
