there is deckadance vsti by image line which clearly is in the 'celestial traktor league'.
regarding free vsti's that askywhale plugin is the best afaik (though RAM usage is excessive).
there also is free Pinky Pluggo vst that can read mp3s.

I like this patch, very nice :) never thought about building a piano roll with switch modules. cannot download it? some questions: is it possible: - force to first bar on track tempo changes (all tracks always start at the same time on first step) - long notes: multiple step colors, to have long not...

cant resist to go once more for a discussion of the piano roll. still for my needs better midi composing is crucial. out of interest: how difficult was it for steinberg to implement the piano roll and sequencer editing? I can only imagine the GUI is a can of worms, but the functionalities are not? f...

interesting question. first: there is not much u can do against it. one alternative would be to use another grainsampler. most of them afaik, have the same problem. u might try buffersynth by ndc or bufferoverride by dfx. regularly, noise removers are offline tools. for instant use there are noise g...

if you press 'U' in the left upper corner, the bcf will be updated (if the params are set as daviche said) for further refinement: there might occur cases when ur bcf wont be updated automatically. for example if you deactivate a track or if you change the preset of a vst. if u need help here, just ...

hi my goal is to build a midi recorder, like the 'midi accumulator' but with syncable lengths. the piano roll would be an alternative but I want it without the editor and cpu light instead. it should be as cpu light as the internal recorder of the xy interface module. - any general tips? - want to t...

did not analyze the hysterisis patch through. hope smby else can further clarify this. just connected a fader to its input (range 0..1, not integer) and looked at the output. imho its a kind of lag with a threshold value (threshold value=hysterisis value). the hysterisis value will set the reaction ...

hi robbe congrats you managed to grab a monome. when did you buy it (from monome.org)? about how to use it. monomeserial (core software) lets u translate each monome key to a midi note. plus, there is a second midi channel for input to control LEDs flashing. in usine it is easy to have eg. a stepseq...

i know what you mean about energy loading fast, but i's nowhere near as capable as usine, agree, you cant compare energy with usine. and the new version is hopelessly buggy as far as i'm concerned - a real shame where that's gone... very true. while 1.x was an innovative+elegant app, v2 became an o...

tkx for the master effect tip! above all usine loads fast compared to cubase or other daw's. cant resist to nag that soft like energyXT (2s), phrazor (5s), synthedit or bidule seem to load its core elements much faster. instead of nagging I might as well admire the quality of these music apps, of co...

So for each parameter we should be able to set if they are randomizable or not and also set the random range. hi got a problem with this (unfinished) script here. when I compile it the midi in input pin is not generated. (using v.4.01) further I get some cpu lags and freezes but this could be caused by my shitty office computer. and yes, I hope this script will have some practical use :) thaumat.org/tmp/_tr...
