Another way would be to switch from Reaper to something else - Live for an example.
Or not use time synced instruments drum-machines, sequencers etc.
Or start with a click or rhythm track with a predetermined tempo.

All those are not to my liking, but I guess I have to.

Usine would be in Reaper as a VST and Mobius inside Usine. The minimal solution would be to just host the other VST-s that need tempo inside Usine VST along Mobius and use Reaper for recording and other VST-s. But if Usine could translate the tempo to something that Reaper understands (MTC I think),...

Seems to work in stand alone, can't test with Usine VST, because I have only the demo version: http://i.imgur.com/lToUX.gif The tempo seems to jump around a bit before it settles down to a value. I'm not sure how Live works, but in Reaper for an example you can simply select what to record - audio/midi in/out, etc.

In the Bassliner patch you have to add and connect a MIDI out module.

This is at least how I could make it work.

After a long hiatus, I'm working again on my sampler patch/workspace.

I've found now, that I need to quantize the rec on/off button press on a sampler (such as in Multiplayer X5) to the nearest division of the current tempo.

How can this be made?

You're probably trying to connect the "bar len" input to B - not the output. Inputs are to the left of the modules, outputs to the right, but if a parameter is both the name is located to the left. Well that's what I thought, but there's only a "bar led" output, not "bar len", Is this right? Anyway...

For example, to calculate the length in milliseconds for a 4th, you'd use a synchro module and a A/B module. Connect "bar dur" to A and "bar len" to B. To set a loop length equal to the length calculated in the A/B, use another A/B and divide the output of the first with "len" from a sampler module...
