Hi - one bit of praise and a suggestion for the new version. First, thanks for the improvements in the beta that came from my suggestions/wishes! I love the fact that the community is such that we can make these suggestions, and that Senso is dedicated to making them happen (and so quickly!). I have...

I appreciate the work you've done, but just so you know, the PowerMate works by sending single key presses for each event. I can't tell it to send two (a capslock key, and then another key). Would it be hard to be able to assign two different keys to the one (for example) fader? (I can image that it...

Hi - I have a new toy I've been playing with - the Griffin PowerMate (http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/powermate/). It works by sending key presses for the different events, so it pretty much "just works" with Usine. However, the most natural things to use it on are faders. Using MIDI learn...

Hey all. Here's my current live setup: * Laptop running Usine and a bunch of VSTs * CME UF7 - 76-note semi-weighted controller * Novation X-Station25 - 2 octave controller/synth; also audio and MIDI interface for the computer * M-Audio Axiom-25 - 2 octave controller * Korg Karma (still love this thi...

Wow - you guys are amazing! Thanks for the insight, and if you get that patch going, I will definitely be using it, although I might try my hand at programming it myself (you know, with all the spare time I have :-) ). I'm using the ASIO driver provided by Novation (my X-Station is my audio/MIDI int...

You're right - Usine tempo and MTC should be different. So with that, how can I get MTC to VSTs? I would think that connecting a MIDI IN module to the VST's MIDI in should be enough to get it the clock signal. In which case if it doesn't work, the problem is with the VST plugin, right? On the other ...

Hi there - thanks for your response. Things have been busy for me, so I'm just getting to this. When I press the keyboard button, the controller message comes in and triggers the button (sometimes - usually when the button is on), but any more button presses doesn't affect the Usine control, and the...

Happy New Year, all. Senso, thanks for all your work on the new version, and congrats on the direction you've taken Usine (free vs pro). All the best in the new year with that. I'm currently running 2.55b, and I'm having some problems with MIDI learn...probably just something I'm doing wrong. First ...

Thanks for the replies! bsork: re:snapshots and Conductor - thanks, I'll take a look at that. Because our music is basically live, I can't necessarily rely on timings from Usine, but maybe I'm not fully understanding the Conductor's capabilities... I didn't really want to use solo, I just wanted the...

I have tried it under Wine, which would be the only way to run it right now, and it's sluggish and a little unstable (and that was on a recent dual-core Dell, running the latest version of Slackware with the 2.6 kernel). Given the stability of Usine in Windows, I'm assuming it's either the (lacking)...

Hi everyone. I need some help with a few things. I'm using Usine live (first time last weekend!) as a MIDI router (and VST host, among other things) for 2 MIDI controllers, and a couple of external keyboards. I've set things up so that each song of a 9 song set is an individual track. I have 9 butto...

Just wanted to add my own thanks here for this software, and the effort that's gone into making it. It's also nice to know it has a long history, and won't be going away any time soon! I'm going to be using it live as part of a duo doing original Contemporary Christian electronica/rock, and while I'...
