Hello! I have a case where I want a fader to morph between two different sounds. I was thinking of connecting the fader to two volume modules, in which one of them inverts the fader value before it hits the module. I am not quite sure on how to invert the value though. The fader sends -80 to 0, so w...

For now I solved it by placing Kontakt on its own track, receiving MIDI from the first track via a MIDI bus. I load up all the instruments I need in Kontakt on startup, then I switch between these using MIDI. Works pretty well! jBridge seems cool, but I've spent to much money on music stuff recently...

I played around with Kontakt in Usine today, as I want this to be part of my live setup. I bought Kontakt just a week ago, so I'm still a beginner at it, but anyway: I use the preset manager to change between active instruments in a Kontakt multi. Every time I change the active preset though, Kontak...

Thank you for the tips, very informative! I haven't even looked at the conductor mode yet, so I'm gonna do that. Didn't know that VSTs were free from CPU when they're bypassed. I have 4 GB of RAM, so I hope it won't be a problem. I'm thinking of getting a MIDI-system for my mandolin though, and in t...

Hi! I'm gonna try using my laptop as an effect processor for live use, running Usine as the effect host ofcourse! I'm playing an electric octave mandolin (similar to electric guitar) into the audio interface input, and the output goes to a guitar amplifier (for now, may use amp modelling later). I w...

By using Asio4All, I finally got Usine Pro 5.17 working with my E-MU 0404 USB 2.0 (same as waolelaid) :) I followed nay-seven's tips on how to disable the Wavetable Synth (or sharing drivers) and the audio output worked fine. I can use the Asio4All with a sample rate of 128 without problems. Too bad...

I tried changing to Asio4All, but it could not get my audio output to work. It said something about the Wavetable Synth, even though I had not activated it in Usine. I do not know how to disable the Wavetable Synth in Windows 7 (it was easy in XP)... I tried to disable UAC aswell, but sadly no progr...

Yes, I had the guitar plugged into the same input on the audio interface, using the same cables and settings, and the output of the audio interface connected to the same amplifier (my guitar amp). It is a hi-z audio input, so it works with instruments. The settings are the same (at least I guess so)...

I did not have any MIDI out settings at all in Usine. I tried to set them to the audio interface's MIDI out, but it did not solve the problem. I do not know which MIDI out Windows 7 uses as default, but probably the standard synth. I couldn't find out how to change the MIDI out settings in Windows 7...

Hello! When using Usine Pro (stand-alone) on my laptop (using an E-MU 0404 USB audio interface) I get digital distortion in Usine when connecting a guitar to it and running the audio input directly to the audio input. I do not get digital distortion when trying other DAW software (I do not know abou...

No, that one just get the name of the current patch. What I'd like to have is a list (or comma text) of all the lines in a track. Perhaps it would be possible to script this? I haven't looked into the Usine script language much yet.gurulogic wrote:Interface Control >Usine Panels > Current Patch Name

Hi! I've been trying out Usine a couple of times, most recently now with version 5.x here. Out of the similar modular patching systems I've looked at (Bidule and Audio Mulch), Usine seems most versatile and I can not understand why it is not more popular? Anyhow, I've been thinking about "going pro"...
