Same as Oli - It's been several years since I did it but the trick at the time was a hacked driver and Processing middleware to convert the Kinekt to OSC. Since then, I believe a proper driver and API for Kinekt have been released. At the time, it was necessary to 'register' a body with the Kinekt. ...

Yes, when you start creating a light surface of three color LED's you run out of "channels" right away. There's like 30 LED's per meter or something. Hello Usiners- I'm working on a workspace that will select a group of random samples from a group of folders and assemble them to into songs from different genres. We'll then use body input via a Kinect to manipulate things like pitch and tempo so that the resulting song is customized for each dance...

Thanks for your reply, Olivier. I didn't see your post originally but when I noticed you implemented a change I mentioned, I came here to thank you. It was this one - "When you drag an object around on the layout, if the mouse pointer leaves the window that holds the object, then the object is moved...

Thank you for the review and the kind words, Olivier. I redid the patch to test it out and although it took me a while to get the graphical elements sorted, (I was trying to put the duplicated controls inside of the polyphonic sub-patch) now I see what you mean. I'll test and see if this clears thos...

I was trolling the forum trying to get a better understanding of Polyphony and came across this post. I had the same question as the OP - how to get samples to play all of the way though to the end, even if another sample started. In my case, I was trying to trigger a drum roll and the clipped sampl...

I'm working on a patch that I want to work like a traditional sound board - levels, pan, sends, then a final chain for eq, verb and compression. I'm having a performance issue that I think I have tracked down to the many audio inputs. The sound gets very choppy and GUI performance drags. I played ar...

I added a second input to the compressor patch to see if it could be used as a ducking compressor and it looks like the answer is yes. The upload is here . To use - connect the sound you want to duck to input (1) and the sound that controls the level to input (2). Typically, 1 would be horns or a sy...

First, thanks for such a great product. It's really opened up possibilities for me I never considered before since it's half instrument, half automator. Plus the community is great for ideas and support. I've been playing for 6 months or so now and finally put my money down for the paid version toda...

I uploaded this thing - - HERE - It simulates strumming a guitar by building up notes on a poly VSTi. The switches select which notes play and the fader sets when the NoteOff is sent. The vertical faders are steps up/steps down, rather than the standard, note, note, note. I put these in like this so...

I uploaded this thing - - HERE - I use it all of the time so I figured I'd share. I splits my 50 key controller into 3 sections and lets you adjust the octave for each keyboard section so that you can play low notes with either hand. The left and right ends have a note-hold so you can free a hand up...

I got ambitious and started clicking around. One of the links above to Vimeo shows a tool called OSCeleton. I'm kicking around using Kinect to control a Burningman project. The idea is to have the participant create their natural music. They stand in a space and by moving their body, we detect their mood, collect some environmental data, and trigger drums and notes based upon a probability algorithm. Ever...
