You don't necessarily need SSDs for software. For the OS only even less.
Where an SSD really excells the most, is in loading and streaming large amounts of audio samples, video and graphics inc. games from and to disk.

I suppose that the problem, why I can't run Usine VST in Cubase 5 64-bit nor can I open the VSTs exported from Usine, is because Usine isn't 64-bit? In Cubase 5 64-bit the Usine VST and exported VSTs crash the program and don't display text and graphics properly. Sucks as I'm too moving to a 64-bit ...

I think the Usine demo should be less crippled to enable proper evaluation. The way the demo is limited, like no patch editing, no sequencer etc. is just too much to enable one to fully test what Usine can do and if it does what one needs it to do.
