Sorry to bug you, but until now I have been drawing in notes in the MIDI Looper. Now, when I record with a midi keyboard, there are double/split notes being recorded (looping, in Overdub mode). There is also strange behaviour in the Piano Roll when moving the double notes - both are sometimes select...

Thanks! Just to 100% clarify since there are concerns about CPU usage, the feature request is not about seeing MIDI Devices separately any more since the separation is covered by the Global Setup > Midi In > channelise option. The revised feature request is now....... - an extra option in the Filter...

Thanks nay-seven, yes that's certainly an option for using a range of notes for control input. It isn't so good for doing single notes on a per-workspace basis. Another issue that this request would address is learning a fader tied to a CC and having it automatically filtered, stopping preventing th...

As you have probably noticed, one of the main idea behind Usine is to have patches independents from hardware devices. There is no device references in patches, patch remotes, workspaces, but only access to virtual what we call "virtual devices" activated in the setup. From my point of view, it's a...

I dunno, it would certainly be a handy patch to have around anyway. I've written a few VST plugins myself, including one that shares transpose information around instances (using the IPlug framework). It would be possible for me to write a plugin to keep track of learned messages and share them with...

Hi sorry for the quick reply earlier, I had to run. Yes that solves half of the issue. :) The other half involves filtering out MIDI used for controlling other things. I know that with other sequencers I need to channelise MIDI data used for control and filter out that channel. That is of course pos...

Hi I have 4 MIDI controllers (inc Alphatrack), so the "all controllers treated as one for the Learn system" paradigm in Usine (and Reaper, and FL Studio) isn't ideal. Cubase deals with the same message sent on two different controllers as two separate things (Quick Controls vs Generic Remote on diff...

Can I just ask for confirmation that all connected MIDI devices are treated as one by Usine for MIDI Learn purposes? I am thinking that since Usine is such a flexible environment that learning per device and an option to automatically filter messages assigned to control something would make it a mor...

Wow, thanks very much for the assistance! Unfortunately it is still switching instantly back to the first sequence when pressing a sequence number or even the > & < buttons now. I've had a look at your cleverly constructed patch but I can't see where the issue is. I can see it trying to switch to an...

Thanks. I have read all of that and everything is a lot clearer now. I am going to set everything up in patches, which leads me to.... I have set up Midi Looper as a sub patch in a patch with Battery 3 to start playing around and everything is mostly good. My problem is that Midi Looper resets to pl...

Hi I am having a bit of trouble getting MIDI out of the Midi Looper. - I have one track with the Midi Looper and then a VSTi in a new row. - In the Midi Looper patch it has a MIDI output to a SendMidiBus, set to global. - In the VSTi patch, it has a GetMidiBus from the same existing (only) bus. I ha...

Sorry for bumping this old post, but I need 1 post before starting a thread and my question is about Bassliner. :) I am a bit confused, is the "add octave bass" button supposed to play the same sequence an octave higher? What is happening here is that the higher octave is offset in time too from the...
