i can answer myself a bit now after some digging.
in the devices area there is listed all the midi inputs and outputs.
i found the midi port from my interface *fireface UC. there i was able to click "send midi clock"
and Voila it works.

i have a vst3 that works well in ableton live but not in the latest version of hollyhock
Its called respiro. The plugin scans fine but takes an incredibly long time to open in hollyhock. ANy ideas why this can happen? probably there is no workaround or solution?

There is definitely an issue that is preventing vsts from receive bars and beats although bpm gets through. Even stranger is once in a great while it seems to get through! A pity because I want to use möbius to play along with pre made loops.
Earlier versions of hollyhock I had it working!

I was trying to use a preset manager in a patch with the synth lush 101. It seems to hang and become slow changing patches.

I use 2 computers. Both have rme interfaces and go Usine into ableton. Seems to work as long as all buffer settings are quite low there ends up with very little latency. But ableton would be nice to have tight rewire sync with. !

Unfortunately this behavior occurs when a midi input is activated in midi setup preferences before I even send it to a rack.
Having the second midi device active in the preferences is enough to cause occasional notes drop out.

i don't think this is my problem. The midi with my rme babyface works fine in other DAW's. Other people have noticed similar issues so it is something in the input stage of usine where the midi flow enters the program.

I was using möbius but I'm trying echoloop. It seems to work better than möbius jbridged to 64 bit. It's simpler with less features but seems to offer less problems when switching workspaces.

are you fellas running mobius jbridged to 64bit host? or are you using a 32 bit hollyhock?
I have found that jbridged mobius has a problem when you want to switch workspaces. It freezes the gui in hollyhock forcing a restart.

Joffo's suggestion does fix the problem temporarily but it seems as if it is a bug. Default audio out should not be automatically added if the workspace is not saved that way. I made a custom audio out and bypassed the default one for now.

i noticed the same flickering behavior in my RME totalmix application.
Rme's current solution is turn off D2D. This for me doesn't seem to be a solution for Hollyhock. THe audio performance becomes unusable when I turn off D2D in HOllyhock. Hopefully there are solutions ahead.

is the target = workspace. It works for me. Although i have had issues with some vsts.

i suppose its due to the complexity of one of my patches which is a midi harmonizer with lots of internal subpatches it is getting bogged down. Too bad cause in Usine 5.80 the conductor could handle this task quite well.

I have found that when using your preset manager patch and changing the target to workspace that it is taking me up to 15 seconds with a white screen flash before the patch successfully switches. I wonder what could be causing this sluggishness.

is there a way to change the recall numbers in a preset manager?
if i use more than one preset manager in a patch i would like the second preset manager to respond to 16-32 and so on

i am using a 12step to send out values on each key (0-127) so far the preset managers can only respond to 0-15

I am getting more clicks even at only 20% CPU in hollyhock. Probably there is more optimizing to be done.

I was trying to use Fleau's note scaler in hollyhock. The Dec2Bin module comes up as invalid. It is in my personal Usine library in a folder called Data. It doesn't show up in hollyhock. Is it not compatible?

Yes the names of the presets are getting exchanged.
That's really a shame there isn't a simple solution. I guess it's best to just stick to the simple senso 16 presets.

just the names get mixed up not the faders or settings... but it can still cause problems as you can imagine. Usually i can reload the patch and all is fine
