For what it's worth, I finally got to spend a few quality hours with version 2 today an so far I'm really happy with it. I haven't even dug in to the newer features much yet but already the workflow just clicks in a way that version 1 didn't quite. I wish I could be more specific, but it's the sum o...

Ah, great, thanks for clarifying that. I knew you could use import settings to update an install on the same machine, but I thought activation was tied to that specific machine. Perfect! Already really happy with the changes since version 1, timeline is great!

I would personally really appreciate some kind of off line activation option, since the server I use for production is strictly off line at all times, and I know this is still pretty standard practice in studios. As it stands now, it looks like I won't actually be able to use the upgrade I just purc...

I use a Dell rack server for my DAW. Their consumer computers and laptops are generally awful but their servers and even the Optiplex desktops are a different league altogether, and are very cheap on the used market. It was a really cost effective way to go ($700 used for a dual quad-core Xeon with ...

I have a Leap Motion, but for whatever reason the leap to OSC program doesn't recognize it, even though the official Leap apps I've tried do. Haven't had the time to look into it much yet.

Thanks for the Leap Motion module, I've messed with one of the MIDI apps and it's OK but it's pretty limiting and has some latency, and the free leap to OSC program didn't work at all for me. Very excited for this!

Interesting, looks like you can already use it to send OSC. I've got one on order.

Topic: Reccomendations for 20"-24" multitouch monitors?

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm trying to avoid getting an AIO since I want to be able to swap the touchscreen between a laptop and a desktop (once I get the money together to build a new one) but the Acer sounds promising, and I think I could afford that near the end of the summer. I'll see if I ca...

Hi, all. I'm just getting started with Hollyhock but it's already obvious that I'm going to want a 10-point multitouch setup for it. I'm not in the market for an all-in-one system or a tablet right now, I definitely want a monitor that I can use with a laptop for live use or as a second monitor on a...
