Thanks both. It is very strange not to be able to tell HH not to use AU, but there you go! So even if I delete them all, yes I still get the same errors. This basically means I cannot use plugins with HH as the scan never gets to VST's!

I will investigate further....

Very frustrated as HH3 crashes every time I scan my plugins folder and it is the AU's not the VST's but I cannot find a way of telling HH not to scan my AU folder. I've tried taking out the offending AU's but it makes no f=difference..it seems to pick random AU's to crash with. So then I took the wh...

Actually in the manual under Global Configuration it says:
Various start-up options.
full screen
Opens the main interface in full screen when Usine starts

So I'm wondering where this has gone?

I seem to remember seeing this as an option in the manual but cannot find it in Options.

OSC..I can get feedback to Lemur with e.g. a knob in a patch, using OSC Send....my problem is getting that to happen with a Rack fader, which seems 'inaccessible' somehow. Have you got the Rack faders to feedback to Lemur? Thanks

Hi Yes I Shift Right Click and nothing! No change in the Settings panel, no appearance of the Design Eye...very strange Also I have entered the addr as the same address as the fader in the lemur as you say and nothing happens. Frustrating. (Port is 8000 and I have the OSC Send device in the Rack Out...

I tried Shift + Click or Right Click and nothing happens..I'm on a Mac?

So I have the OSC Out module in position, I just can't get it to send back to the Lemur..I've put the Port and ip address in but what do I put in the ADDR field?

When I go to Setup - Layout Style - Colour Style

I only get the one option, 'Default'. I thought there was a 'Darker' option?

Also...can I create my own default colour style (I am not a fan of purple!)?

I have done this before but I have forgotten how..and I cannot find it in the manual.

I have a default workspace. All good. On my laptop this default workspace loads automatically i.e bypasses the Start page completely. But how did I do that?!

I am confused about the use of time in HH... I see I can set sequences of time signatures e.g..5/4..3/4...4/4 to repeat in the Properties panel of Synchro. And when I hit play it works. Great! But what is it for? It does not control or relate to the Grid in any way and there is not even a metronome ...

On a Macbook Pro, Hollyhock 2 will always default to the 'AirPlay' audio output. I presume this is because it's the first in order in the 'Audio Midi Set Up' utility. I can't see a way to change that order.... though of course I know how to change the audio output back to the 'Built In Output' in Ho...

The only thing I can compare it to is Kyma...where there is a timeline that triggers events and processes.

So after my initial rant about the GUI I have to say it's starting to grow on me! I think it just takes time. The key thing though was to use the 'floating windows' options (thanks guru logic). From that point on it visually made much more sense. I would have had this option the other way round.... ...

Intersting you mention Max. I am comparing Max and Hollyhock at the moment. I agree the user interface design in Max is AMAZING. But everything else drives me nuts! Have a new gui? I'm struggling with aspects of the current one on a 13' screen. I can see how it might work on a big screen but I'm struggling on my Macbook Pro. Ah wow OK I'll try getting in to that. Unusual.

Lovin Hollyhock btw. really very impressed. The user interface takes a little getting used to but wow there are many wonderful finds and such amazing potential here. Will be purchasing as soon as the tax man has his fill!

Thanks ...but it's not that. I tried changing it and it makes little difference unfortunately.

Also if you are on a Mac have you noticed the mouse jumping when you click on a parameter...really strange , it jumps a good inch when I try to click on a horizontal parameter slider in Properties....

Hi

The text on the Patch window on the modules is really difficult to read. The black text is tiny and very grainy/broken up. Cannot zoom either on this window.

Tried different screens and its the same on my Macbook Pro 13", on a 15" Mac Perspex screen and a 21" BenQ.

any ideas?
