I have an older Yamaha keyboard with Midi out, which I want to use with Usine. Strangely, this keyboard is sending an "all notes off" message in addition to the normal note off messages everytime when there are no more notes played. (I have checked with MidiOx). This all notes of message (Controller...

I was just about to write a suggestion for an option in the conductor to rearrange the snapshot order (move them up and down) when I figured it is already possible by dragging the snapshot numbers in normal view. Very nice! Unless I overlooked it I think this is not written in the manual and should ...

The local interface builder is a good candidate for a comment popup? otherwise, just for info, I'm thinking about a property window module that could be added on a patch. - patch type - keywords - description - comments Also It will be coupled to an improvement of the browser, with a small search e...

You can connect the text outlet of a List or Combo box to the comment module and change and store the texts like any other value. Ok, this basically works, but as the List and Combo box modules are actually designed for lists (=one line for each item), my comments now appear in a long horizontal li...

If I switch a song in the conductor, I'd like to see some comments I've made for that song. So far, I have added a new track only for comments and the patches only contain 'Text (comment)' modules. As the 'visible in control panel' option is sometimes too small I like to see the comments in a floati...

As I am quite new to patching in Usine, I sometimes have to look some time where a certain module is. I am thinking about a small text field in the module browser, if you type the name of a module it is automatically added to the current patchspace. This could make patching a bit faster without brow...

The patch is working. Thanks a lot. The problem I now have is that the Aux send amount is "blocked" for manual adjustments with the mouse. It always stays on either -inf or 0dB. Ok, that's what I asked for but it would be nice to still can do manual adjustments for in-between settings and if I press...

I ran into the same problem today and noticed that the sends only work if they are before the recieving track, so I thought I bring up this topic again. Bsork, I understand your argumentation to avoid feedback loops and of course creating virtual sends is easy. But after all my own opinion is that t...

Hi, I've just noticed that the Aux sends don't create Midi feedback. (Am I right here or do I miss something?) As I've automated them with my BCR2000 they don't update it if I recall scenes with different aux sends settings. Would be really nice to implement aux send feedback to avoid parameter jumps.

Thanks for all the replies. Actually I was a bit surprised at first that Usine has no "pre-build" Midi-Split function, because stacking sevaral VSTs over different keyboard ranges is one of the most important functions for me when creating patches for Live gigs. But people work differently of course...

Vincent, how do you use it ? Could you give us a little sound example ? No sounding example for the moment, sorry. Nothing recorded... Nope! Four nights is far too long. I give you two. Because then we'll start our world tour. Just joking - really looking forward to this tutorial. Hi Vincent! Thanks for the screenshots. This looks like some pretty advanced stuff, probably more than I need in my setup. I have now also started "deconstructing" my patches into smaller ones (using different channels) and everytime I learn something new about using Usine. I was thinking to ask you...

Uhhh... I totally forgot about using different tracks! Currently I'm using only one track for all my patches. I think using a separate Track for the organ (yes it is B4) is the way to go. I've been working a couple of weeks now with Usine and everything is going fine so far (even the Midi feedback I mentioned in an earlier thread is now working), however I am not sure, if this is the optimal way I am using it. Do you have the BCR connected with USB or with Midi (standalone mode)? I have tested with Midi connection and it works with no problems. Thanks for quick reply. So you are saying Midi feedback is also NOT working for you if you have the BCR connected with USB like I have? Hi, I'm new to Usine and I'm trying to remote control it with my Behringer BCR2000 which has "endless" rotary knobs. What I did so far: Activated the BCR Midi input and output port in the setup menu. Set the BCR Midi out as "is remote". Assigned a knob of the BCR2000 to the master fader with the mid...
