Yes!

The new grid concept seems to be really good, the auto-wiring must be also time saving, as well as the VST interface integration!

No more time needed to program and organize all the controls! But well, I guess a lot of us still need to purchase some multi touch technology at first (I am part of them).

Hey senso, what's the "free xy" interface all about? Is that styling resizable etc?

All usine panels are movable (with an option in the layout), and you car retreive their position within the patch.
Very easy to use. For example, you can create an XY panel with steps modules instead of traditional balls..

The hardest part of waiting is that I am scared that because of the new stuff I am going to want to rebuild everything I spent the last month working towards in v4 that now I am reluctant to fully commit to...gaak! I should have found another hobby for the last month!

I can't wait, fabulous new possibilities, and the resizable graphic elements come just when i need them !

Are the patches and worspaces made with Usine 4.22 compatible with Usine 5 ?

The backward compatibility is 99% for patches functionalities.
You may only encounter some layout and design incompatibilities.

unfortunately not for the V5 but now the with new engine, I will be able to correct the Midi sync problems very soon.
It's my priority now.

I think maybe Senso is just making sure that for sure I have to renew my one year membership before I can download the v5 ;)
Speaking of which, how exactly does that work?

if its still the same (July 2009), i payed 40 euros via paypal (incl. forum user name) and i have from the date of payment 1 year membership. if you pay the upgrade licence while u are still member, i guess, senso will still add 365 days.

btw: it would be cool if we could look up our personal expiration date in the profile.

Done and done! I'm not taking the chance on having to wait for my gold membership to get reactivated while everyone else downloads v5 :)

Just 3 important news:
1) we are working hard on Usine and we are close to the final release
2) the V5 will be officially presented by Nay-Seven at the Berlin's workshop
3) (bad news) we'll be probably two weeks late,.
Sorry, We know that you're impatient! Us too.

I guess I can save you some bandwidth and stop refreshing sensomusic.com 20x a day hoping for the good news... :~[
A stable and complete v5 is definately important, sorry to hear it is taking longer than intended !

Well back to blandly poking at my mundane v4.2 master workspace that I lost all faith in further developing over a month ago... :~]
(btw, I'm more than happy to beta test or even proof read manuals for spelling mistakes if needed..?)

Hi,

Did you keep the circular buffer rec mode in the sampler and grainsampler modules?

I don't see it in the wiki

In fact i use a lot this function

just noticed the new news content:

yes! v5 is nearly here as it seems.

i wished it would take even a bit longer cause i'll have my finishing exams in a few weeks....
my only chance: i have to send the teachers a link to Usine. so they cant think about anything else too ;)
