A bit strange, I have to right click and 'download as' from the link in my gmail. If I just click the link I get the internet explorer file download security notification but after I choose to download the file, nothing happens. Maybe this is just a problem with my own computer?

gurulogic: try this:
switch gmail to the 'basic html display' and try the download link again.
