[3.21beta1]

Image

Improvements
-Now two types of markers in the sequencer: Normal markers and Look markers.
You switch from one mode to the other by clicking on the marker.
-New progress window
-New Browser design
-A workspace can be load by a simple command line like: C:Usine3.20Usine.exe C:mywkp.wkp

fixed bugs
-"num" parameter doesn't work in the conductor
-Show Asio panel button in the set up doesn't work
-Some quantization precision problems
-VST Scan Button doesn't work
-Wrong result of the VST GetDirectory() function
-Problems on VST parameters with negative values
-better compatibility with VST plugs (RMIV, etc.)

Compatibility notes
-the [Loop] switch of the sequencer disappears in this version, so check your workspaces.

We don't need it anymore, since there is a loop option on each marker.

OK Olivier an thanks for this new function of markers.
A suggestion for this option.
it will be fine if "Lock all" function lock markers too because it is so easy to do an error in the time line (when I right clik on the time line for positionning a cursor, sometimes the marker mode loop or one shot change...). You can to prohibit the change of marker mode on the right click ?
The position a marker (with magnetise to object is not perfect, generally it is Ok but sometimes no...).

Well, Frank, I'm just a bit upset: I just finished some documentation about the sequencer and I did not notice anything about right click except to show/hide the browser... Argh...
About the markers precision: the left edge of the marker is the "right point", not the center. Maybe a shiny line on that edge would be a good idea, Olivier?
I've really done a lot of manipulations since almost two weeks (and with the new version as soon as I could use it), they snap fine - on the left side...

Hello Vincent,
I start again, my last post has bad explanations.
Problem with accidentally move markers in the ruler (time line):
If I click in the ruler (for move the time cursor) too much near one marker the marker mode change this option (if marker mode is loop it change in no loop mode ..) then I dont want to change it, I would like just move the time cursor .
I think it could be interesting to divide vertally the ruler in two spaces. The highest space for move the time cursor and the bottom for creating an modify the markers. The highest space will be have another color ?
It could be interesting if the LOCK ALL option affects the markers too or better an option just for LOCK ALL MARKERS (and Unlock all markers) in the menu ?

I hope my news explanations are clearly now ?
Thanks Vincent and what do you think of that

Hi franck, I agree with the lock markers idea, but not neccessarily with the need for having two rulers. However, click'n'drag in the upper part of the ruler area I think shouldn't affect the markers at all.

I would like to make another suggestion: Now it seems to me that the clicking in the rulers with either the left or the right mouse button do the same, whether it's creating, deleting or changing the type of marker. Wouldn't it be simpler if the left button created or deleted with a double-click, while the right button changed the type with a single-click? Or something similar...

Hello,
Currently In the ruler you can do these things:
* Right or Left Click between two markers = move time cursor
* Right or Left Click on the marker or whith the top of him , the marker mode change.
* Right or Left Double Click on the marker delete this marker.
* Right or Left Double Click in the ruler where is not any marker create a new marker.

Like I said in my precedent message it is so easy to do some errors.

First I think a new button with the lower part of snap menu button (none, grid, object), a new button to lock alls markers will be a good thing.
And I think it will be fine that the move time cursor in the ruler only with the right click, left click only for markers operations (or conversely).
What about this idea ?

hello, sorry to respond so lately, I was very busy last days.

The [lock] option is not a problem.
I hope I'll have time to do that very soon.

for the bsork suggestion, personnaly, I like the actual way of change/delete markers. Now, lets take a little more to feel it in real situation?
