[3.68c] 08/07/15

Another of last minute update.
You can skip this update if everything rocks on your system.
The 3.68.. will be the official release for a long time, and I'll try to make it bug free as much as possible.

In parallel, I'm working on a major improvement of Usine and I'll try to develop both versions (the actual and the new one) at the same time. You'll have info about the new one very soon.

fixed bugs
- Sometime the selection is tricky in listbox modules (very old bug finally fixed!).
- Various display bugs in listboxes.
- Error when deleting a Local Interface Builder.
- Some curious behaviour when creating a Local Interface Builder...
- Usine can't work with a sample rate at 88200 Hz.
- Sometime the 'snap to grid' in the Interface Builder can reduce small containers.

[3.68b] 08/07/11

A couple of last minute updates. Concerns especially the VST version which was built with an older version of Usine...
For the rest, you can skip this update if everything rock on your system.

improvements
- re-sizable preset panels
- snap to grid for containers

fixed bugs
- CC curves 4,5,6,7,8 don't work in the pianoroll
- the filter panel is not updated in the interface builder
- the vst version package. The 3.68a was built with an older version of Usine VST...

[3.68a] 08/07/10

Image

improvements

- new preset panel design
- easier object selection in the Interface builder
- the minimum delay value in the delay module is now 0 ms
- new 'start on activation' option in the sampler module to enable/disable the
re-starting from the beginning on the activation of the patch (only in loop mode)
Image

fixed bugs
- solo button in the InterfaceControl/MixerOutput module can crash Usine
- when double-click on a slider the edit field appears on the up-left corner of the interface builder.
- after rename a slider the inlet isn't updated in the patch
- midi notes in the 'fader midi notes' module are displayed an octave too high.
- Better compatibility with VST plugs (CSR, T-Racks etc.)
- the size of the containers in the interface builder changes when lock/unlock
- strange behavior of containers when the grid size of the interface builder = 1
- the width of the remote panel is too large on 1024x768 screens

stanlea, I just noticed the other day:

"be a Gold Member
Usine Pro cost 50€ with 10 stereo inputs, 10 stereo outputs, 16 tracks and a complete access to the user library (add-ons)."

when I was worrying about when my subscription expires, which I have no idea. it's got to be soon :-P

Multiple core optimization?

Btw: is it normal, that on a dual core processor with 'dual core optimization' only one core is really working? I have this problem right now... the cpu load is never above 50%.

Suggestions?

new version: my mouth is watering, my brain is steaming :)

cant resist to throw in my vision of what I'd need (more midi stuff):
general: a live midi arranger/composer
my principle: in the live gig the same midi patterns are used as in the production phase: I dont like to sample vst's, I love to have every param controllable live, and to be able to do a new composition. for every song there is a bunch of synth/fx presets, premade midi patterns (in Phrazor). common for all songs is the controller setting for usine.
avctually <a href="http://www.gersic.com/plugins/hosted/So ... Phrazor</a> by sonicbytes was the app closest to my vision so far (in combination with a modular low-level vst host). sadly its abandonded. I still use it but I fear that I might run into problems in near future if I depend on discontinued software.
<img>http://www.gersic.com/plugins/plugimages/1194572571.gif </img>

-> a suggestion for the long term development:
I'd love to see more concentration on midi composing/processing.
look at the way how Phrazor organizes midi patterns: a list of midi patterns at the right side, choose to play a pattern in select mode (only one pattern at once) or in loop mode (pattern keeps playing when not selected).

thanks for the great work.

-A "Just say it" function and Usine will made the patch automatically without having to do anything with the mouse? My god ! You're crazy man!
-Usine as an expresso machine? Need some coffee...
-Save Patch as VSt plugin?
