We're thrilled to announce that Usine Hollyhock 7 (HH7) is now officially available as a public BETA, and we want to say it loud and clear:

HH7 Beta is completely FREE to download and use.

That's right — no license key, no time limit, no watermark, no crippled features. The full HH7 experience is open to everyone during the beta. Whether you're a long-time Hollyhock user, a curious newcomer, an artist, a VJ, an installation builder, a teacher or a student — you can grab it, run it, and create with it for free.

We've been working on this release for a long time, and we can't wait for you to get your hands on it.

What's new in HH7?

HH7 is the biggest leap forward in the history of Usine. Here are some of the highlights:

- A huge collection of new modules — audio (new filters, reverbs, pitch shifter, tape echo, ring modulator…), MIDI, video, data generators (Euclidean rhythms, Turing machine, chaos generators…), color tools, audio analysis, and much more.
- A refreshed user interface — lighter, more colorful, more intuitive, and easier to read than ever.
- Remote control over the Internet — control Usine from anywhere, with new networking and remote-access tools.

…and literally hundreds of smaller improvements across the whole application.
