It simulates strumming a guitar by building up notes on a poly VSTi. The switches select which notes play and the fader sets when the NoteOff is sent. The vertical faders are steps up/steps down, rather than the standard, note, note, note. I put these in like this so I could strum up then down.

I've also been using it as a compact note-changing sequencer.
