While I'm into doing these text file-based patches, I have created a simple patch that reads lines from a text file and scrolls through the lines on the screen, 4 at the time.

The number of lines, as well as the "current line", can easily be changed, as this is governed by a couple of constants within the script.

The text file should be as "clean" as possible, without formatting ro suchlike. Use Notepad or some other text editor to save it.

I've uploaded it into the add-ons under "others", and the name..?

Karaoke.pat - what else?

cool, it works fine on my system.

but I have some comments

- sometime lines are repeated twice.
- you can set the 'index' max value to something higher the 10?
- for large lines the display fields can overlap each other (to avoid that double click on the 'text module' and set the edit window to the maximum width)
- I think it's better to use 'separator & panel' module to display lines because it fits the width automatically?

Hi, I did this most for fun yesterday night, without much testing etc, so it can surey be improved. It'll have to wait though, as I'm going on a laptopless holiday today.

...a novel generator?? No, but maybe a lyrics generator based on the names of banned e-mail domains? :P

Have a nice summer!

Hey Nay-Seven.

Happy new year everybody.

Sorry, but parfois I need to pas faire trop d'efforts intellectuels to gagner du time. And I know you are french...that's why.
Also, I understand your démarche. Why don't you give them number? Or dates?

Sorry for english users..

So...Nageuse , Convoi and Animal are my favorites. also, I don't see any "clown" but a kind of Lascaux fragment.
