A matrix a bit extended setup to set/recall X,Y, an Z (toggles status) with matrix cells. (like my prev square)

toggle/momentary mode. absolute/relative mode.

combo toggle/fade mode: like a toggle mode , except that we can set value like in fade mode when reclicing on a cell.
absolute/relative: absolute pick absolute position clicked on cell, ie higher you clic on cell higher is value (cf velocity on matrix keyboard. relative: recall previous value, and zone for setting is independant from cell size, to allow finer precision setting, even if moving outside a cell. adjustable.

pages: by default it's a 4x4 with 8 virtual pages, but in theory you can scale the matrix and choose nb of virtual page
infos inside the patch, hints.

but once I open it I
say : Can't find the User Modul D: usine pro standalone 5.0moduleinterface designmatrix.usr

Once I pressed ok, but the Matrix appears square in the middle is not

Can you help me please thank you

you have to download the matrix pack in the download section
and put the 'Matrix.usr' in the folder 'Usine/Files/Modules/Interface Design/'.

last question, Matrix is the big brother (the Square) or the same thing

no the square is an oldest addon made by 23fx , who don't use the matrix module ( which didn't exist at this date )

Hi Vjrobotx.

the Square was a grid of cells with a complex behind system, with an ableton grid. This is effectively a much simpler little part of square features using Matrix, a module that allow to have lot of cells accessible in one module only, very conveniant. At this time matrix doesn't support colors and caption, but should in a short amout of time, that will allow me to build a new square more powerfull.

I could clean and reupload the square for V5 (well i started and ll take a bit amount of time to check that tonight),
but if your goal is to control ableton, im working on a much better system using LiveOsc (see liveOsc thread in general),
Square will then be a different addon more focused on general midi/usine applications.

But if you are a VJ as i suppose, yes square would be cooler to trig videos.
I promise i do my best to give you square/liveOsc asap, but they are "complex" patchs needing time to check...
im checking square patch to upload it tonight..
note: je parle français mais ici on parle en anglais comme le forum est international si tu galères tu eux mettre en français aussi mais jusque la je comprend ce que tu dis;) je mate si je peux corriger/reupload le "carré" ce soir

but Matrix is there a midi controller or not we assign sounds directly

nope matrix setup is just a setup for people to build their own midi settings, use the square instead that have powerfull build in midi, but
no direct sound, i will think about that for V3..
