I designed a small tool. Basically, I transformed a wave displayer to a vu-meter and I kept the loop function to make two adjustable thresholds...

there's also the actual level and the maximum peak (can be reset with a simple click)

just some tips:
edit the layout of your container and active the "auto size " option
you can also use a reel audio in module , better if we want use it directly in a control panel
