Could it be possible to create an useful handbook of Usine modules in pdf format?. With bookmarks and with a quick index?

I think that a very rudimentary pdf with every module (no indexed, no bookmark) could be the first step. That way it would be easy to correct styles, etc. This basic pdf could be done using the docuwiki I believe.

what do you all think?.

yes it's a good idea.
Actually I don't know how to proceed but, I'll think about it.

Hi!
As a proof of concept, I finally managed to create an all-in-one CHM file containing all of the usine manuals! :)

Well done Floego , really useful !
can you create this for each language and what is the total size of the pdf..?

Posted: 23 Aug 2011, 00:19
by Floego
Yes, I think it is possible for each language. And for the english one, it is about 30 MBytes in size, mostly for the jpg images.

try this:
right click on the file and select open
if windows say he can't open the file
select let me choose the appz to open and look for HH.exe in your c:/windows
must work

What windows version do you have, xp, vista or seven?
when you said it can't be readed, it means it can't be opened too? :)

ANTE SCRIPTUM : now that works...
____________________________________________________________________________________

Well,
i have Windows 7 (64 bits).

I have extracted the file, then i have saved it. When i click, a window is open.
But i have only index : if i click on a title, i get this message : "Soft cannot open this page".

I follow your advice, Nayseven, but noway. Furthermore, my impression is that HH.exe is used by default.

The stranger fact is i can read this file by clicking directly the link !

__________________________________________________________________________________

POST SCRIPTUM : ok, i have made another thing = open by the link, and copy the temporar file. NOW THAT WORKS PERFECTLY ! :)

(but strange...)

In windows 7, there's a security control that maybe is blocking you to access the contents of the chm file.

From this site: http://techdows.com/2011/08/how-to-view ... ows-7.html
you could try the #1 option.

The #2 option is more or less harmless but requires you to go to the windows prompt etc.

I strongly advise you not to try the #3 option unless you really know what are you doing.

Maybe if I get some time soon I could extract the web into PDF.
Wasn't there an updated manual that was in progress too?
I could help if it is needed to complete.

About manuals : there is a broken link on the website.
The link to API documentation on this page http://www.sensomusic.org/manual/en/sdk leads nowhere
