Hello, all.

I'm new to Usine, and am very excited to learn and utilize all of it's features/add-ons; however, I'm having what i consider a pretty legitimate problem. Button colors are not refreshing upon a second click -- let me explain: for instance, I can click the bypass button for a given vst, which then turns red to tell me that the vst is bypassed. Though, when I click the bypass button for a second time to un-bypass the vst, The button remains red, but the vst is reinitialized. So, in functionality, the buttons seem to be working fine; however, the button-faces aren't changing colors to indicate their active/inactive status. This also applies to my global settings screen and the like, making it dificult (if not nearly impossible) to properly set things up. I'm in great need of help! And will appreciate any advice!

Thank you,

Todd

One thing that I should mention is that i'm not using a multitouch device; although, my laptop is in line with all of the system requirement recommendations, and I'm running windows vista.

Thanks again!

hello and welcome !
so i suppose you talk about switch and not button ( button done an impulse, switch have an on /off state )
first try to drag and drop any vst on an empty panel and look if you have the same problem ( by defaut on = yellow , off = grey )

if you have create yourself this switch , try a right click and choose edit layout , now you can choose colors for on and off states..

tell me

Hi, nay-seven.
Yes, I did mean the switches, and have tried what you mentioned, but I'm having trouble with all of the on-yellow/off-grey and on-red/off-grey switches. Now, here's an interesting thing. if I activate any switch, for example the one which enables astronomical tempos in the global settings, it turns yellow to indicate that this feature has been activated. If i click the button a second time, there is no color change, i.e. back to grey. However, if I leave the workspace and quit usine, then restart the program and workspace, return to the global options/interface settings, the color of the tempo switch I mentioned earlier has changed back to grey.

I've been in the process of rearranging my practice space, and haven't been able to use usine as much as I'd like; however, I have used the program, running ASIO4ALL and the audio engine with similar problems. I have not tried things with my proper ASIO interface, a Presonus Firestudio. I need to download the latest vista service packs yet: could this be the problem? Also, Usine -- in Vista -- appears to be running in compatibility mode, with a windows-esque looking shield over the Application file.
