Hi, Im doing my firsts tries with "Microsound" sounds. Im reading some articles on this topic and granular synthesis (more info is apreciated!).
Usine seems pretty good for this purpose, and I found a couple of great patches that use Granular Sythesis. But for what I read, one big diference between g.synt. and "Micromontages" is that the former is automated.
Can you recomend some patches or methods for this kind of work?

Thanks in advance!

I find the Glitcher Serie I add-ons by Senso, and different grain cloud generators inside the pack. Nice!
I didn't find a help file, I suppose it works with 4 grain generators, but I want to find out how they work, how they extract the grains from the source, etc.

The big problem is the cost of cpu

I wish more fluidity in the sound

I have to learn more about granular :)

Have you checked out Curtis Roads works? Software and books (&music!) He made one of the firsts cloud generators, the manual could be useful.

Hello,

Of course the work of Curtis Road are fundamental but are derived from mathematical research of Norbert Wiener who have invented the concept of "quantum ". This is all very well detailed in a DEA raport of Charles BASCOU really interesting (but in French ...)
