So, in trying out the demo I have a couple questions:

1. The Usine HH logo appears when i load a new preset on Usine modules (ie groove machines). Is this normal or is it a bug???

2. How can I sync the metronome module to Audio tracks and the piano roll?

Thank you in advance.

Hello Mysterious ???

Welcome to Hollyhock and the Forum!
If you need more help let me know.

1. Regarding a logo when changing presets, no I do not see the same response. Does the logo show any loading process, etc..?
When first loading it will scan the audio files for the list manager, however it should not when changing presets. Are you running in windows or mac?

2. Hope this helps:

-Create a rack (ctrl-t) or from contextual menu, then create a second one.
-Place the metronome patch in one rack
-Go to the MIDI tab of the Browser (ctrl-b) and drag a midi file into the empty patch of the second rack.
-You should now have two racks one with metronome, one with a midi file.
-click show pianoroll on the second track to display the content of the midi file.
-now if you see it out of sync, it might be because you drag and dropped while playing. (Loop Mode)
-In the top Master Synchro panel stop and restart the Synchro ON/OFF button and they should sync to tempo together.

Master Synchro Panel

In the piano roll patch at the top header there is a gear icon that opens the pop-up.
The default for piano roll is loop mode, rather than a "sync on" quantize.
The quantize or sync options are located in the "loop mode" combo box.

Hello Sephult, thanks for taking the time.

1. I can repeat with the GROOVE physics module (couldn't repeat on other modules and i fail to recall which other module did the same thing) where when i load a preset for the first time the logo appears and states "Read File" below it. It does scan for the file for the list manager when first loading the module but also scans each preset the FIRST time i select it. After the preset is selected the first time all is fine. I'm on a MAC. 10.6.8

2. Ok got it. Really appreciate the help. I actually set the piano roll Loop Mode to "Loop on bar" and it seems ok so far.

So long story short ??? in more detail about the pop-up window you saw in Groove Physics but not the others:

If you have a sampler with a list of files that are already loaded they are in memory.
If you change samples in the already loaded list, you will not see the pop-up.
If you change the list completely between Presets, then this is why the pop-up shows (loading from disk to memory).

The way the Physics patch is designed, it alters the lists between Presets...and that is why you are seeing the pop-ups.
The other patches are designed to just change in an already loaded list, that is why you could not reproduce in the other ones.
As nay said, Completely normally, and will not hurt anything.

I am a Windows user, just wanted to ask...sometimes I forget that others could be using Mac.
Am I like the only Windows user? :D
I am about ready to get a version and do a virtualization so I can relate to everyone. Still love Windows though :)

Glad you got going on the Piano Roll, let me know if you need help or have any other questions.

Excellent! As long as it doesn't affect realtime live performance it's all good.

Thank you! Really appreciate the help. I'm actually RTFM to help me out a bit. I'm practicing French so I DL'd the French version to make things extra difficult for me (Yes, I am a masochist :D ). I'm just mentioning this so no one thinks I am not reading the manual in case i do have more questions.
