Is this software gonna be a complete time waster?

i looked at the videos on Youtube, downloaded the demo, and looking at Hollyhock i felt like i stepped 20 years into the future.

it sure seems like an amazing concept but i am concerned i would be spending too much time playing apprentice wizard and not enough time recording music.

i had a Nord Modular once, and while it was a blast experimenting with that stuff i barely made any music during that time.

is this gonna be the same thing?

I reckon the learning curve is very smooth !
You can make sound and tweak existing patches out of the box and progressively dive as deep as you want.

I helped a friend this Saturday arvo: at the end he was confident he could go on on his own
