i don't know, the pricetag is somehow big in comparison to other touch notebooks.for example we have at home lenovo flex 2. it has discreet GPU, touch display, core i7 CPU.. which is enough, Zuzana Husarova uses it with Hollyhock on her live performances (in touch mode )secretkillerofnames wrote:Create Digital Motion think it's promising.

I think a problem is that the hardware we have available in Australia is shit!
Cheapest Lenovo with i7 that I can find here is a ThinkPad and it is $1800.

We do get the leftovers down here don't we... Particularly with Lenovo I reckon.
I wanna see actual specs in the surface book - I'm thinking about going to aavimt to get a proper audio laptop next time, but size/weight aren't in their favour. Something like this is always tempting in that regard, but I did that with my current machine and its been frustrating hitting its limits...
Everything's kind of a compromise isn't it

Check out this ridiculous price.
I think working within limitations but am not using Hollyhock much at the moment because
1) I'm waiting for 64bit version so I can use Reaktor 6 with it
2) need a touch based interaction method for it to be useful in my live setup

Holy crap!!! That's absurd!!!!!
I guess I'll go to aavimt when I'm ready and deal with the weight thing....
I bought a dell 24in touch monitor from their outlet last year for peanuts, it works just fine and is portable enough. I'm used to moving guitars and amps around so a touch monitor isn't a big deal.
Reaktor 6 isn't multi touch anbled in usine - that's a small bummer, but otherwise it works fine...

All my music programs are on Mac and Reaktor 6 is only 64 bit there for some reason. It's definitely not showing up for me which is a bummer.Clearscreen wrote:Holy crap!!! That's absurd!!!!!

Is HH only 32bit on OSX? I'm used to windows with separate 32 and 64 bit binaries. That IS a bummer!!!
