motorised fader

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to use a Sony DMX R100 (a nice digital desk with 24 motorized fader) as a remote. The Sony is connected via MidI IN & OUT of the RME Fireface UC


I'm able to control the DMX faders with a Create midi patch, I can trace the Midi Out and it goes to the RME

I'm able to control a fader from the DMX with the Midi learn but I can't control the DMX from Usine with the motorized option. I can trace the Midi out, the message is correct but it doesn't seems to go to the RME.

I can't explain that.

Midi output is supposed to work in Usine!
so maybe there is another explanation?
did you try to setup the MIDI out DMX as a remote ?

Hi Olivier,

Well, The DMX doesn't have any remote mode ! I can only use Control change parameters... That's probably why I can't use the motorized option.

The purpose of this is to use the DMX has a remote for Reaper. I intend to use Usine as a Midi CC to OSC converter...

PS : BTW, if someone knows the syntax to control Reaper via OSC, I'd be interested.
