Newbie stupid question

Hello,

I am testing Usine.
I want to use it for real time audio processing, with a microphone.

This may be stupid, but I don't know how to plug a mic in Usine.
I quite skilled with other softs, and I have no problem with this basic feature, but I just can't get any sound from a mic into Usine.

I use an Alesis sound card which is recognized and functional.
I have modulation in Usine, on the main vu-meter (top of Usine window)
I have set an input device, but I can't get any sound and modulation.

I need a step-by-step tutorial !

Welcome Manu,

Don't worry, all questions are welcome
once the device audio input is activated in the setup, open the device panel and drag and drop it on the rack input,
add an fx patch from the library and be sure to have your audio devices out in the rack output
that's all
