With OSC, there is usually an address associated with the broadcasting via UDP. Usine listens to port 8001 by default. Some OSC programs wont let you chane the port, so you need to change Usine's listening port in the network settings tab OR if you have the option, change the OSC broadcast to port 8001. Its best if you use an OSC lister module. From then it should be cake.

So in the module menu, if you do a search for the "osc lister" module, you can actually start catching data from your phone using that module. This is the best way to know if you are broadcasting properly. Also i see that you are accepting port 8002 in Usine. It is very important to broadcast to 8002 from your phone to actually get a connection going.

OSC works with a WIFI connection, as you see your computer don't have any IP address, so no way

I am in the train, back home and i try to connect Usine and my Iphone to work with TouchOSC.

So, i create un new network on my Mac. I name it, CM-AD-HOC.
I have an IP adress on the Macbook Pro something like 169.254.196.99
I have an IP adress on the IPhone. Somethink like 169.254.196.122

The two devices seems to be connected.

But hollyhock seems not receive any IP Adress. In the network Setup i can read the Host Hame : PRO-DE-CHRISTOPHE.LOCAL
But the IP Adress is still empty ????

Why ? Someone have an idea ?

Thank you.

I try to answer to your questions.

1 - dmitriyck, my Mac book Pro is a retina mi-2012 model

2 - Joffo78, no, i didn't try to disable 3G or 4G. But the problem is the same at home with the sfrBox...

3 - Nayseven, i have been dowloading and install Usine from a fresh unzip version. The 2.0.090.
But it don't solve my problem. When i active OSC in the setup, i can read the Host Name, but there is no IP Adress.
The macbook is connected to the internet and i can read the Ip Adress in the preference system panel of the computer.

It make me crasy !!

Hi.

I find a solution.
I don't kwon why, but i need to run the "TouchOSC Bridge" on Mac OS 10.12.3 to receive OSC Messages from TouchOSC in Usine.

TouchOSC Bridge should be downloaded on Hexler web site.

This software is only needed if you use Wifi Midi Messages. But,for OSC messages and Usine, with Mac OSX and Iphone, i need to run it.

Now it works fine.

Thank you all.

Ok a bit strange but good to know :)

and now you receive OSC but if you refresh MIDI devices and activate TouchOSC Bridge, you receive also MIDI messages ?

YES !

But it is more easy to send OSC mesages, from Usine to TouchOSC. Beacause the Motorised option in midi device didn't send midi feedback to the iphone.

It is cool !

The biggest issues I had was ensuring that the correct ports to listen to and receive from are set. I used 10000 to send and 9000 to receive using Lemur on android . Working in holyhock and reaktor
