Hello,

i have a problems of Midi Communication between Usine and my master keyboard.
I use an M-Audio Axiom49 and i have four difrent kine of touchs.
1-Vertical faders
2-circular faders
3-pads
4-keybord

My workspace config is this one :
2 racks.
One is my instrument with a plugin Kontak patch for an organ
The other one is a sampler.
I puted the first one rack instrument directly in the second one for the sound path.

Now, when a asign a touch pad of the keyboard to the Rec Buton of the sampler with the Midi learn it works.
But the touch pad is defenitely link to a D-key of the keyboard. And i don't know why ?
The Trace conducteur is this one
For the pad : MIDI in : 144-50-106(on) (Chan=10)
MIDI in : 144-50-00(off) (Chan=10)
For the key : MIDI in : 144-50-54(on) (Chan=1)
MIDI in : 144-50-00(off) (Chan=1)

I don't find the way to asign just the touch pad of the keyboard and broke the link between the touch pad of the keyboard and the D-key of the keyboard.

Did you meet this kine of problem in your Usine experience ?

Thank you to give me a hand to fixe it and continu my dear work.

as far as i understand, the problem here is that psysically the Axio is sending exactly same note for both pad and key press, on different chanels.

one solution is either to say to usine, 'you ll play notes in on kontakt only if incomming midi chanel number is 1, so pad on midi chanel 10 will be ignored.
On a midi in module you ll see 'channel filter', here you can set it to 1 so only midi message comming from channel 1 will be processed, and passed to VST.
one other solution is to affect a midi CC rather than a note to be sent on pad touch on the axiome itself (with its editor).

haven't found more appropriate topic, so here's my question:
Why midi input of a patch only receives messages from channel 1, even though I've split the signal in 8 channels in a patch right before it? I used several midi outputs with different channels. I just don't get why it doesn't work straightforward like that, and also when using rack as input, the midi messages are not included, which also forces me to use midi bus or sub-patches for things I need.

for x.iso:
not easy to see your question lost in another topic, try to create a dedicated one ?

if you send different midi channel in a patch, best way is to use only one MIDI output, then in the next one you need to use midi filter modules (and its channel filter combo box) to route the channel you need.
About Midi routing by racks , it's not implemented yet

thanks, I think I've done it in similar way and it worked, but it would be logical if it worked with multiple midiouts as well.
