Hey all,

OSX 10.12.6 here, HH3 latest build. MacPro 12 Core, now an NVidia GTX Card.
(Behaviour is the same with the old Apple stock ATI Card, just bought a GTX so that's why I know.)

So I've noticed something odd. Whenever I move the mouse cursor around, the GUI freezes.
Shortly when the workspace is relatively empty but comes to a total halt when there is a bit going on in the wkp.

Also when clicking a rack for example with HH3 in stop, it takes a second for the rack to be selected. (i.e. the white selection
box to appear). I am not sure what 's giong on here. It might help to know that I am running 2 30' Inch Displays in 2560x1600... But if the cards are too weak then HH3 should have poor performance
in general, right? Not only when I move my mouse around?

(My first thought was that HH3 is poorly performing in the graphics department, but that's not the case.
When I leave it alone and don't touch anything it's smooth as butter. Also selecting stuff with hotkeys is much more responsive than selecting something with the mouse....)

Best,
tL.

FYI: Just scaled the display resolution down to 1280x800... Same behavior.
Usually GPU should fly at resolutions that low, right?

So I installed HH3 on Parallels in Windows to see what happens and look at this... the sluggish, freezing behavior is gone.

(But again, I am running Parallels through OSX, same Computer...)

The Gui is much snappier, also the CPU performance is far better.
(i.e. the Polyplex Addon for example only uses 1/3rd what it is using directly under OSX)

(EDIT, it's actually "only" 50% after changing all settings to exactly the same in the preferences...)

Rack Deletion, Rack selection and loading seems to be faster as well.

WTF? How can that be? Well, probably have to accelerate my move to windows then, I suppose...

(Also I noticed that the Hardware Acceleration button is only in the Windows version... I thought I saw it in one HH3 version on OSX before as well... What happened?)

can you send us the log file please ? ( right click in the app/ show contents/LogUsine.log)
i suppose you have test the "low graphic quality" option ?
increase the Usine block size ?

Yes, I did. Also the settings are mirrored between OSX and Parallels. Block Size doesn't help.
Low Q-Graphics doesn't help either. Windows performs better on same settings no matter what.

Will send the .log file later. (Only the OSX log or both?)

recently I've experienced same kind of behaviour on Windows once, due to corrupted (I suppose) workspace, that generated a bunch of error messages, after which Usine started acting strange.
