Regarding snapshots: is there a way to avoid the delay that occurs when switching from snapshot to snapshot? I don't see how I can create a song with Usine when there are delays between snapshot changes on the timeline (i.e., the audio pauses briefly during the change to the next snapshot).
All I'm doing is changing the 'pitch' slider in a GROOVE bass module (whose MIDI output is going out to a VSTi).
Thanks!

Snapshot Recall Delay
Can you provide a simple workspace example ?
Try to disable the checkbox «save on preset» in the VSTi.
I discovered that when you recall a snapshot, HH sometimes reload the VSTi and it causes an audio issue if the instrument is being played.

Still, should VST go as far as reload just by triggering snapshot? It does sound like a bug. I've noticed that as well on big patches that also involve VST's and the thing is that I would actually like for VST parameters to be saved in snapshot, if it's possible to avoid this delay (or if it's a bug that can be fixed).

I agree, the recall of presets is a major problem in Usine. Even when using the standard patches such as the "MIDI Step Sequencer Melody", the quantized change of preset ALWAYS misses the first beat. It is useless as such.
Please, this bug must be corrected I think...

depending on patches presets can consist of huge amount of data, so as far as i understood its called on the message thread to avoid severe audio glitchs/freeze and it sadly fatally has kind of latency.
the thing that can help a lot is track what parameters really needs to be recalled, and reduce them as much as possible, disabling save on everything else. ie avoid huge arrays everywhere, or collect a reduced amount of param in a subpatch, and make this subpatch only saved/recalled in preset. ie if only a fader is in a subpatch, it can be nearly instant, if that was among a messy patch with tons of arrays and vsti / datas to recall, that prob won't.
