HH5 !
Since some features are already lined up for HH5 (e.g. new preset manager), what are the likely dates for HH5 ?
not yet defined, still in progress !

I hope that HH5 will be available as stand-alone and as a VST plugin. FL Studio does it and now Mulab will do the same. https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopi ... 6#p8155510. In any case I look forward the release of HH5.

Will we get a new preset module ? The one in the current hh5 manual looks the same. I do not need dmx etc only audio, sdk etc.
I really need to patch a name for the preset. All I need is a text input that will be taken as the name when a preset is made.
Workarounds with list boxes etc are just too clumsy.
With this simple addition I could import vst presets automatically into the preset manager.
The other thing is the new pricing scheme. If 16 racks is just too short it would be good to be able to buy a few extra without jumping up to hundreds of euros.
Last question. The SDK has been static for a while. Any further development to that?
Thanks.

although it's been established long ago that Usine isn't going to be available as VST, but what about VST bridge plans? seems like settings regarding that are gone in HH5.

I have finally figured out setup with JACK in Usine and can finally send audio from Usine to other DAW and the other way around, so for be VST bridge is not that necessary anymore, but I can see how it's a more user friendly option for many still. I think it would be a good idea to have manual page with guide on how to use JACK with Usine.

OK I've bought PRO for the next 2 years and downloaded HH5
The preset module is the same as before. You cannot patch in a name for a preset and the "comma text" input just passes through to the "comma text" output in
the "names" section, but it does not do anything.
I live in hope for a "preset name" input that works.
I also looked at the .patchpreset file option, thinking perhaps this could be edited to modify the name,
but the preset name is not stored in this file.
The whole point of Usine is that everything is patchable - and the preset name is not !!
If you save a patch with presets, this is part of what is found in the patch file:
[PA-0]
UID=5989714435484866936
PRESETUID=8904316398312544672
fade duration=0
scope=0
comma text=bells,horns,strings,piano,yyy
INDEXvisible=1
T0=kkk
T1=cat
T2=
T3=
T4=
T5=
T6=
My patch names are there so this could be edited offline.
But weirdly the comma text is stored. Surely this was intended to set the patch names, else what is it for ?
But it seems to have nothing to do with the patch names stored as T0, T1, etc.
Simon.
