if you have an extra pci slot just throw your old soundblaster in there and get the kx asio drivers or buy one from ebay or your local computer store for a few dollars.

This might be just what you've done, but...:

You'll have to enable inputs and outputs in asio4all as well as in Usine. Go to File/Setup, and in the asio section choose asio4all as the device, click the panel button to get to the asio4all setup to enable/disable in-/outputs, and then activate those in Usine (and name them if you want).

I've had no trouble using asio4all together with Usine, and for me it has worked fine both with my M-Audio Ozonic and the built-in soundcard.

A little tip: in Usine, the available in-/outputs can be placed at will. The default behaviour is of course that eg. "In 1" is the two first inputs from the driver, and "Out 2" is outputs no 3&4, etc. If you - like me - have mono sources connected, choose the same input for both L and R of the pair.

Hope this might have been of some help. Without any more technical details and/or descriptions of what you've done, it's hard to be more specific.

Unfortunately, I can't test Usine on all commercial sound cards...
Most of problems come from drivers. It?s harder to make a good driver than the card itself?

The tested soundcard list, feel free to complete the list!

[best sound and drivers]
RME fireface 800
RME digixxx serie
RME Hammerfall HDSP
Presonus Firepod & Firebox

[good sound sound and drivers]
M-audio FWxxxx serie
Digidesign Mbox I

[works but poor drivers]
Edirol FA101
Edirol UA25

[works only with Asio4all]
Realtek built in sound card

[doesn?t work]
Ucon CX USB
