hello all

finally bought a new audio interface
thinking this one could be a good one for usine and my vista home
but I've noise , specially when i move modules in usine

when i use only usine modules and no memory usage it's ok

I've Live le 7 with the sound card , no problem , no problem also with reaper or audiomulch...
test on 2 vista pc and there only a few appz on the laptop one , same results
any tips...?

i've also test this appz :

http://www.thesycon.de/eng/latency_check.shtml

" a Windows tool that analyses the capabilities of a computer system to handle real-time data streams properly. It may help to find the cause for interruptions in real-time audio and video streams, also known as drop-outs "

don't know if it's a good test , anyone know it...?

any help .......

This problem can occurs in some very strange situations. And is linked to the dual core optimization. (a conflict with the graphic library)
Did you try to disable the dual core in the setup? (just to know if it is the main cause)
Since most of computers are now dual core I've plan to change the graphic library to solve the problem.

Hi nay-seven,

did you manage to find the cause of the problems? I am thinking about buying the fast track ultra and using it on a XP system.

Greetings,
Stefan

hello stefan,
i suppose it's better with xp and they just made an update for the last sp3 of xp
and you know there's also some random cause like graphics and main board card ... and so...
maybe best way , if you can , is to buy , try and return if really problems
but you have more chance with XP

for my part i'm gone to wait a little , then maybe try the dual boot solution ( afraid for the moment cause some say it's not possible with my main board , some yes...)

exept this , it's a really good card , hope m-audio solve the problems

The problem occurs with a cpu load > 50% (one cpu is 100% on dual core) and is not really specific to a sound card (append on my RME).
Don't worry I'll work on this problem: it's a priority.

very pleasant to see...;-)

but i've also send report to M-audio, cause there is a "hight performance mode" who freeze my pc ,
and i've also a "driver_irql_not_less_or_equal " blue screen , where their driver appears too...so....

the problem of glitch with cpu>50% is, in fact, a Dual core optimization pb.
But, as usine is very modular the dualcore optimization is an hard job...

Hi nay-seven,

thanks for your reply. I think I will do a 'buy'n'try' when I choose the FTUltra.

Hope your problem gets fixed!
