off the top of my head you could try a 'smoother' module (in the data modules menu in the browser), but i'm not sure how well it'd work. it might affect the rest of the audio as well... you need something to remove the fast transients i guess, which might mean using an inverse sidechained gate? for freeware the reaplugs reagate might be worth a look? hope this helps in some way :)

the Gain of the grain sampler isn't designed to be modified intensively in real time.
If you need to modify the volume quickly use a Audio/Volumes/Volume Stereo module.

you're right the GRAIN of the GRAIN SAMPLER...
the grain fader can't be modified in real time...

interesting question. first: there is not much u can do against it. one alternative would be to use another grainsampler.
most of them afaik, have the same problem. u might try buffersynth by ndc or bufferoverride by dfx.

regularly, noise removers are offline tools. for instant use there are noise gaters, yet they only filter out freqs that are below a certain volume.
what u want is a tool that filters a certain freq, means a noise remover vst that loads a noise pattern in advance and processes the sound with some look ahead time.
I dont think this exists, but I dont say (especially in the usine forum) it would not be possible. maybe via impulse response technique. also, I read some discussions at KVR that melodyne's engine thereotically could do something in this direction..
